Bean (Dwarf French) Purple Queen Seeds

Bean (Dwarf French) Purple Queen Seeds

Attractive, round, stringless, purple pods!
Delicious in flavour, the pods should be picked young and regularly to encourage cropping over a long period. The pods turn green in boiling water. Recommended by the National Institute of Agricultural Botany.

Average Packet Content 220 seeds

£3.30 Code: 197364

CULTURE: Sow March-April under glass, or in succession outdoors from late April until mid-July. (12 weeks maturity.)
HINTS: Plants producing plenty of distinctively flavoured, stringless pods over a long period if picked regularly. Research suggests that it is unwise to eat beans raw. HEALTH BENEFITS: Source of vitamin A. CULINARY TIPS: Delicious when no thicker than a pencil, and can be sliced or cooked whole.

There's nothing like growing your own vegetables - as well as the satisfaction it gives, you have the peace of mind that they're maximum quality, nutrient-packed, and chemical-free, with that "fresh-from-the-garden taste" at a fraction of the cost of the supermarket. Our carefully selected range of vegetable seeds will provide a bounty of tasty fresh produce all the year round. We've also got other vegetable seed ranges, such as Groweasy Seeds and the Alan Titchmarsh range of Organic Seeds. And at certain times of the year, we also offer Vegetable Plants if you don't have the time to grow vegetables from seed.
